Course Title: Master of Fine Arts (MFA) Course Description:
The Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program provides students with professional training in the visual arts. Through rigorous coursework, students explore the history and practice of the visual arts, develop their own creative style, and create a portfolio of original artwork. The program culminates in a culminating exhibition of the student’s artwork.
Course Objectives:
1. Understand the history and practice of the visual arts.
2. Develop and refine knowledge of art theory and criticism.
3. Develop and refine skills in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and other media.
4. Develop and refine professional practices in the visual arts.
5. Create a portfolio of original artwork.
6. Participate in a culminating exhibition.
Course Requirements:
1. Attendance at all classes, lectures, critiques, and exhibitions.
2. Completion of assigned readings and course projects.
3. Participation in class discussions, critiques, and exhibitions.
