The All India Pre–Medical Test (AIPMT) is an annual medical entrance examination in India. It is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in several medical colleges across the country. The AIPMT is one of the most competitive medical entrance examinations in India and is taken by thousands of aspiring medical students each year.
All India Pre–Medical Test (AIPMT) Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible to take the All India Pre–Medical Test (AIPMT), the applicant must meet the following criteria:
• The applicant must be an Indian citizen and have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or should be completing the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the first year MBBS/BDS course.
• The applicant must have passed the 12th standard examination or equivalent with subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio–technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio–technology at the qualifying examination.
• For SC/ST/OBC category applicants, the required minimum marks is 40% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio–technology taken together in the qualifying examination.
• The applicant must have qualified in the All India Pre–Medical Test (AIPMT).
