A Master of Education (MEd) degree is a graduate–level degree that prepares individuals for leadership roles in education. MEd programs typically include classes in educational theory, research, and curriculum design. These programs often require students to complete a culminating project or thesis. In addition, students may have the opportunity to gain hands–on experience in a supervised setting.
Master of Education (MEd) Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible to apply for a Master of Education program, applicants must have a bachelor‘s degree or higher from an accredited college or university. Depending on the program, some schools may require applicants to have a minimum GPA or certain prerequisite courses. In addition, applicants must submit official transcripts, letters of recommendation, and a personal statement. Some programs may also require applicants to submit GRE or other test scores.
