AIBE is a national level entrance examination conducted by the Bar Council of India. The examination is conducted to test the knowledge of law graduates in India. It is conducted in both English and Hindi language. The examination consists of multiple choice questions on topics of Indian law. The examination is conducted twice a year and the results are declared on the official website of the Bar Council of India.
All India Bar Examination (AIBE) Eligibility Criteria
The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is an open–book bar examination conducted by the Bar Council of India (BCI). It is conducted to assess the capability of an advocate to practice the profession of law in India. The AIBE is conducted in 40 cities across India, and one must appear in the examination in the city of their choice. In order to be eligible for the AIBE, one must fulfill the following criteria:
1. The candidate must be an advocate enrolled with any State Bar Council in India.
2. The candidate must have completed their three–year LL.B. degree from a recognized university.
3. The candidate must not have any pending disciplinary proceedings against them before any Bar Council or Court of Law.
4. The candidate must not have been convicted for any offence involving moral turpitude.
5. The candidate must have paid the prescribed fee for the AIBE.
