Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery is a professional degree course related to Ayurveda. The course is designed to provide candidates with a detailed understanding of the principles and practices of Ayurveda, as well as the ability to diagnose and treat ailments using the principles of Ayurveda. The duration of the course is usually four and a half years, followed by a one–year internship. The curriculum includes topics related to Ayurvedic Medicine, such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, clinical practice and surgery.
Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S)Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for admission to the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S) course is as follows:
–Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the main subjects.
–The candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the above mentioned subjects taken together.
–Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC categories will be eligible for a relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum aggregate.
–Applicants must have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission to be eligible for the course.
