The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level entrance exam conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for admission into management programmes offered by various institutes in India. It is conducted every year in the month of January and September. The exam tests candidates on four sections: Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness. The exam is a computer–based test (CBT) and consists of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs) to be answered in 180 minutes. The exam is administered and managed by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

The eligibility criteria for appearing in the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) are as follows:
• Candidates should be Indian nationals.
• The minimum educational qualification for appearing in the CMAT is a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Candidates appearing in their final year of the Bachelor’s degree program can also apply.
• There is no age limit for appearing in the CMAT.
• Candidates can apply for the exam only once in a year.
