The Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Exam (IIT–JEE) is an all India entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) for admission to undergraduate engineering and technology programmes at the 16 IITs across the country. The exam is conducted annually in two stages – JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. The JEE Mains exam is the first stage of the IIT–JEE and is conducted for admission to all IITs and other engineering colleges. The JEE Advanced exam is the second stage of the IIT–JEE and is conducted for admission to the IITs only. The exam tests the student’s knowledge and understanding of mathematics, physics and chemistry.

The eligibility criteria for the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Exam (IIT–JEE) are as follows:
• Applicants must be Indian nationals.
• Applicants must have passed their Class 12th examinations with a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• Applicants must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their Class 12th.
• Applicants must have been born on or after October 1, 1995.
