The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to determine the eligibility of candidates for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses in recognised medical and dental colleges in India. The NEET was introduced in 2016 and is held annually in May or June. It is a computer based test which consists of 180 multiple–choice questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The total duration of the test is 3 hours. Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in the exam to qualify for admission.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is an entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate medical courses (MBBS/BDS) in India. The eligibility criteria for appearing in NEET is as follows:
1. The candidate should be an Indian citizen or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
2. The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.
3. The maximum age of the candidate should be 25 years (30 years for reserved categories) as on the same date.
4. The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects.
5. Minimum qualifying marks should be 50% for general category and 40% for reserved categories.
6. Candidates must have qualified the Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects individually in the qualifying examination.
7. Candidates who have passed Biology/Biotechnology as an additional subject are also eligible to apply.
