What is the Qualification for Pilot Training?
In order to qualify for pilot training, you must meet certain criteria set out by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Generally, you must be at least 17 years of age, have a valid US passport, have a high school diploma or equivalent, have a minimum of 35 hours of flight time, pass a medical exam, and pass the FAA written exam. Additionally, you will need to have a valid driver’s license and a valid airman’s certificate.

Pilot Training Duration in India
The duration of pilot training in India can vary depending on the type of pilot license being sought. For a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) the duration is approximately 9–12 months, while for an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) it can take up to 18 months.
Commercial Pilot License India
In order to obtain a Commercial Pilot License in India, you must be at least 18 years old with a valid Indian passport, have passed the 10+2 exam, and have a valid Class I medical certificate. You must also have at least 200 hours of total flying experience (including at least 50 hours of cross–country flight experience and 20 hours of instrument flying experience). After completing the above requirements, you must take the Commercial Pilot License (CPL) exam, which consists of a written theoretical exam and a practical flight test. After passing both the written and practical exams, you will receive your CPL.
